As soon as I get the updates we will email AND print the Neighborhood Directory for everyone.

The purpose of the directory is for neighbors to be able to contact each other for safety, to find pet sitters and baby sitters, to find other children for play time or carpools.

The directory also helps when we are involved in neighborhood functions like the Easter Egg Hunt, volunteers for putting up the flags and for the Block Party.

You do not have to have a PayPal account -- look down the page where you see the credit card icons to use that option or straight from your bank account.

I humbly ask everyone to consider donating $35 (or whatever amount you feel you can reasonably afford if that is too much). Dues cover the cost of insuring our columns (yes, Springhill Ave. is pretty busy and folks do seem to crash from time to time), and it covers our landscape maintenance and plantings.

WHY TO DONATE: Having a well-maintained entrance makes each and every person who lives in this neighborhood feel just a bit better about where we live. I personally have dragged those darn watering hoses all over the place to keep the beds alive during the drought times. It is a little tiring, but worth it to me. We do not have an irrigation system installed and there is no easy access to gray water either so all the watering has to be done manually.

We hope this site will serve to bring our neighborhood together and

Help our neighborhood look its best by doing the following:
1. Keep your lawn mowed and edged — a weedy lawn is an eyesore!

2. Make sure your street-side gutters are kept clear and are properly edged

3. Big Trash is every other Thursday and trash should only go out on the Tuesday prior. See schedule - we are the GREEN column.

4. Bring your garbage cans and Recycle boxes off the street the same day it is picked up.

5. KEEP YOUR SPEED DOWN! There are tons of toddlers and new bike riders, walkers and pets. Please remind your teenagers of this from time to time.
